Noosa Marina provides vital sponsorship to NYRC
Noosa Marina is proud to be a sponsor of the Noosa Yacht & Rowing Club Youthsail programme and Sailability programme. This vital sponsorship provides necessary infrastructure for our aspiring young sailors and to enable an opportunity for disabled sailors to learn, gain confidence and enjoy the thrill of sailing on one of Australia’s most beautiful waterways, the Noosa River.
Youthsail Program
The Junior and Youthsail Sailing program at Noosa Yacht & Rowing Club is continuing to grow from strength to strength. The NYRC sailing programs now provide sailing to over 300 kids and adults weekly.
The key purpose of the Youthsail program is to present sailing both as a sport and a healthy lifestyle to as many juniors as possible. The program consists of several graded stages through which they allow the young sailors to develop their confidence, skills and love of sailing. All the while not forgetting that it is FUN! This is achieved using a fleet of sailboats which include Tackers, Vagabonds, Sabots, Lasers and Blazer 23’s. Many of these boats are owned by the Club and utilised by the various programs operated at the club.
Noosa Marina’s continued sponsorship enables the continuation of these programs year after year.
