The Noosa Marina Markets Are Back, With a New Treasure Hunt

The Noosa Marina Markets return on Sunday 27 September with a family adventure theme, plus the launch of the Great Noosa Marina Treasure Hunt.

Set on the waterfront boardwalk at Noosa Marina in Tewantin, the Markets run from 8am to 2pm on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of every month. This September, we are turning the boardwalk into a morning of pirates, mermaids and treasure hunting, with the river rolling by and plenty to keep the whole family busy.

What to Expect at the Markets

Wander the artisan stalls filled with handcrafted local wares, then settle in for breakfast or lunch overlooking the water. There is live music through the morning, prizes on offer, and the chance for the little ones to meet a real-life mermaid or pirate and grab a photo.

It is a relaxed way to spend a Sunday by the water, whether you are stocking up at the stalls, catching up with friends over coffee, or letting the kids loose on the adventure.

The Great Noosa Marina Treasure Hunt

This edition also marks the launch of the Great Noosa Marina Treasure Hunt, and here is the best part: it is here to stay.

Hidden around the Marina are seven magical sea creatures, and they are not easy to spot. Keep your eyes peeled for the Turtle, the Jellyfish, the Dolphin, the Starfish, the Crab, the Stingray and the Seahorse.

Each creature is guarding a secret letter. Find all seven, unscramble the letters and reveal the magical word. There may just be treasure waiting for the clever ones who crack it.

Because the Treasure Hunt lives at the Marina permanently, there is always an adventure waiting, whether you are here for the weekend or spending the day with the family. So even outside market days, grab a map and set off.

Getting Here Is Part of the Fun

Catch the Noosa Ferry along the river from Hastings Street and arrive by water, or take the bus, walk, ride or scooter your way in. There is something rather nice about the kids spotting the Marina from the river, stepping ashore, and setting off on a real-life treasure hunt.
